AI/ML for 6G

AI/ML will power the next generation of wireless technologies, making them smarter, more efficient, and more cost-effective. At IIT Madras, our team of researchers is involved in cutting-edge research and standardization on AI/ML for wireless communications. Using our Indigenous 5G Testbed, we collect hundreds of thousands of data samples for AI/ML research and make them freely available for non-commercial use.

Centimeter Positioning Accuracy using AI/ML for 6G Applications

This research looks at using AI/ML to achieve centimeter-level user positioning in 6G applications such as the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). Initial results show that our AI/ML-based method can estimate user positions with an accuracy of 17 cm in an indoor factory environment. In this article, we highlight our approaches and future directions.
